Questions worth asking.
These answers come from the app’s written privacy policy. They explain what stays local, when the camera is used, which files you can export and what you need to remove yourself. For the precise wording, refer to the full policy.
Know the limits of each action.
The policy separates inventory records inside the app from exported files kept elsewhere. It also distinguishes an optional permission from features that do not require it. Open each question to read the relevant explanation.
Do I need to create an account?
No. BinLedger does not require registration, login or an online account. The app is designed to work without an internet connection.
Where does BinLedger store inventory data?
Product and warehouse records are stored in a local SQLite database in the app’s storage on your device.
Does the app use ads or analytics?
No. The privacy policy says the app does not use advertising networks or include an in-app analytics service.
Why might the app request the camera?
If you choose to scan a supported barcode or QR code, the app requests camera permission. Scanning happens locally, and you can deny or revoke the permission.
Can I export CSV data?
Yes. The app supports CSV import, inventory CSV exports and reports using Android’s document picker.
What can a full JSON backup contain?
It may contain products, bins, stock balances, audit history, notes and inventory-count sessions. The app validates a backup and asks for confirmation before restoring over existing records.
Are exported files encrypted?
No. CSV and JSON exports are not encrypted by BinLedger. Store them securely because they can be read by someone with access to the files.
Does BinLedger automatically upload my data?
No. The app does not request internet access or automatically send warehouse records to the provider or other parties. A destination you choose for an export may have its own privacy practices.
What happens if I delete a product or uninstall?
Deleting a product may leave a related audit entry. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local app data, but does not delete exported files stored elsewhere.
Who provides the app and how can I ask a privacy question?
BinLedger is provided by AHMED PLASTIC GODOWN, Pakistan (PK). The privacy policy lists fba0976@gmail.com for privacy questions.
